April 2003
Blount County Public Library, Maryville, TN
Solo exhibit of new work on display throughout the month. These mixed
media "leaf" pieces were created using silkscreen, drawing and
painting. This work is a direct reaction to my life on the Holston River
in East Tennessee and the type of environment I have lived in and loved
for the past 3 years. Birds, gardening and the sense of stewardship with
connection to the land have been the primary inspiration and focus of
my art over these past few years. The small pieces are a few components
in a series of children’s art.
